The Society of American Military Engineer (SAME) announced this week that Michael Sedge, president and CEO of the Michael-Bruno Group, has been selected as a speaker for the 2019 Joint Engineering and Training Conference (JETC) in Tampa, Florida, May 7-9.
Sedge’s talk, Getting Back to Partnerships: Communications in Construction Management, according to SAME JETC Review Committee, was selected among more than 200 abstracts received.
“It is an honor to be selected among the many high-quality proposals,” said Sedge. “In recent years we have witnessed the partnership aspect of US government construction slip into a sometimes stand-off-ish and at times even hostile environment. We need to get back to true partnering, open communications and a focus on win-win relationships and accomplishment among contractors and government construction commands. This talk will, hopefully, be the first step in achieving this goal.”
Over the past decade, Sedge has become a regular speak at conferences around the world, covering such topics as Working in Africa, Host Nation Compliance in Europe, and Taking Your Small Business Abroad. He was recently hosted as a keynote speaker by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain as well as the UK Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the Djibouti-UK Business Forum. Sedge has also published more than 4,000 articles and 14 books, including features for The Military Engineer, the official magazine of SAME.
